Herts Orthodontics was established in 2003. All our clinicians are fully UK qualified specialist orthodontists and registered as such with the General Dental Council (GDC). We all hold degrees in dentistry and have chosen to train as specialists in orthodontics, which we find to be a very rewarding profession because it combines our technical skills with aesthetics.
Orthodontists
Report
Completed his dental training at Guy's Hospital in 1993, and completed his specialist training in 2000. He is the principal specialist orthodontist at Herts Orthodontics, and also works as a hospital consultant in North West London. Shamique is treating a number of patients with lingual braces, having started using lingual appliances in 2003.
Administrative Staff

Jenny qualified as a dental nurse in 2012 and took over as our practice manager in 2016. Her organisational skills assist our team greatly in running the practice, and her understanding of nursing is of great benefit to the team. Grace has joined us having worked for over a decade in a specialist orthodontic practice in West London.
Clinical Staff

Rachel is well qualified to undertake her duties as our senior nurse. Nikki joined us in 2017, having previously worked in general dental practice for 3 years. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2015, and has gained experience in working with both general dental practitioners as well as implant and oral surgery specialists.
Types of Braces
Report
This type of brace is stuck onto the teeth during treatment. They are able to rotate teeth, move the roots of teeth and close spaces to achieve teeth straightening with a high degree of precision. It is possible for private patients to have tooth-coloured ceramic brackets fitted to improve the appearance of fixed braces.
