The British Deaf History Society is a charitable organisation preserving Deaf heritage through its Museum, Archives, and Library in Manchester. Founded in 1993, we document and showcase Deaf culture, history, and language via artefacts, artworks, and publications. Our volunteer-driven team and part-time Heritage Coordinator work to expand collections and promote accessibility, relying on donations to sustain operations.
