Pawson Brothers commenced quarrying in Morley in 1841 with the intention of supplying quality buff sandstone for construction projects in the Morley area. Notable local landmarks using the stone include the Morley Town Hall which was built in 1895. Calder Masonry Ltd now has the sole rights to Woodkirk Stone and is honoured to follow in this proud tradition
