Rayleigh Town Museum preserves and presents the history of Rayleigh from prehistoric times to the 20th century. Located in a 14th-century Grade II listed building, we offer free access to rotating exhibitions featuring Roman relics, medieval castle timbers, WWII artefacts, and interactive displays. Our volunteer-run institution includes a research room with historical documents and hosts special events throughout the year.
