Doweys is an independent butcher, locally owned and driven by Simon and John Dowey. John R. Dowey and Son was established in Lurgan in 1936 by John Dowey Senior and has continued and thrived on the High Street in Lurgan. We have an emphasis on homemade produce made on the premises sourcing locally were possible with full traceability.

Doweys have been serving the community in Lurgan since 1936. Now 3 generations of the family have continued the skilled trade of Butchery. John R. Dowey senior established his original butcher shop in 1936 and created core values by which we trade today - local produce for local people. Original family recipes were developed and have now been passed down through generations to me, his grandson, Simon Dowey.
Click and Collect

Our click and collect service is designed to make your weekly meat shop as easy as possible! All orders placed before 12 noon will be ready for collection after 2pm same day. Orders placed after 12 noon will be ready next day. If ordered on a Saturday after 12noon or on a Sunday it will be ready for collection after 2pm on Monday.
