Services
Sports injury physiotherapy
Specialised treatment for sports-related musculoskeletal injuries using evidence-based techniques. Our physiotherapists assess and treat conditions like ligament sprains, muscle strains, and joint injuries. We develop tailored rehabilitation programmes to accelerate recovery while preventing future injuries through biomechanical analysis and strength training.
Post-surgery rehabilitation
Comprehensive rehabilitation programmes following orthopaedic surgeries. We coordinate care with medical professionals to ensure optimal recovery timelines. Our approach combines manual therapy, progressive exercise regimens, and patient education to restore mobility and function after procedures like joint replacements or ligament reconstructions.
Tendon injury treatment
Specialised management of chronic tendon conditions including tennis elbow, Achilles tendonopathy, and rotator cuff injuries. We employ evidence-based loading programmes, manual therapy techniques, and activity modification strategies to promote tendon healing and prevent recurrence through biomechanical retraining.
Paediatric physiotherapy
Treatment for children's musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. Our physiotherapists address growth-related conditions, postural issues, and sports injuries through age-appropriate techniques. We provide parental guidance on injury prevention and home exercise programmes to support children's physical development.
Running injury rehabilitation
Specialised assessment and treatment for running-related injuries including shin splints, knee pain, and foot conditions. We conduct gait analysis to identify biomechanical issues, implement targeted strengthening programmes, and provide footwear advice to prevent recurrence while maintaining training continuity.

Questions
How long does sports injury recovery typically take?
Simple muscle injuries take about 6 weeks, while tendon injuries may require 6-9 months. Recovery times vary based on injury severity and individual healing factors.
When should I start physiotherapy after injury?
Begin physiotherapy one week post-injury. Early intervention optimises healing and prevents suboptimal recovery through structured rehabilitation programmes.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No GP referral required. Self-referral available with direct access to specialist physiotherapists for immediate assessment and treatment planning.
What happens during first appointment?
Initial assessment includes injury history review, physical examination, diagnosis, and personalised treatment plan with written documentation and exercise instructions.
Can physiotherapy prevent injury recurrence?
Our rehabilitation programmes strengthen affected areas and improve mobility to reduce future injury risks through biomechanical optimisation and patient education.
Do you treat non-sports injuries?
Yes, we treat all musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, neck pain, and chronic joint issues using the same evidence-based approaches as sports injury rehabilitation.

Vee is the best physio therapist I have ever met. Vee goes the extra mile all the time, you can see that his passion for his job is the most important thing and he always goes the extra mile. I had a devastating accident and without Vee's expertise, passion and enthusiasm I would not be making as well as a recovery as I am. I truly appreciate all your help Vee.

Got me in for an appointment straightaway, very helpful. Diagnosed and provided me with an in-depth explanation surrounding my injury and provided a very helpful treatment plan. I used to go to just you average NHS physio and waited months for an appointment however after the high level of treatment / service I received I will return if I need any further help or treatment in the future. Highly recommend VFIT to anyone.
