Cushendall Golf Club
Cushendall Golf Club is a Golf, Social & Community club based in the heart of the beautiful Glens of Antrim. Founded in 1937 and affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1938. A major feature of this picturesque but challenging nine hole course, is the river Dall which creates out of bounds at seven of the nine holes as it meanders through the course to the legendary Sea of Moyle.

It is from the legend of the "Children of Lir", who spent four hundred years as swans of this turbulent sea, that the Club takes its "four swans" crest.

Report
As Captains of Cushendall Golf Club and on behalf of all our members, it is a pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our club nestled here in the Heart of the Glens of Antrim. Indeed there are few visiting golfers who have not left us feeling somewhat envious of this little treasure.

The course presents a fair test of skill in a truly attractive setting and the welcome received in the well-appointed club house is in keeping with the reputation we have as being one of the friendliest clubs in the region, a reputation of which we are very proud. We are very privileged to have one of the best golf club restaurants in the North.

You are making a good choice in bringing your golf society to Cushendall Golf Club. It is situated it the Glens of Antrim overlooking the sea of Moyle with the Mull of Kintyre in view. Whilst it is only 9 holes it offers a challenge to any level of competency.

It is small and picturesque and is bounded by the quaint village of Cushendall (Known as the capital of the Glens) on the landward side, whilst the waves of Red Bay pound its northern shores. The River Dall meanders through the course to the sea and it is to its presence that the course owes its" tricky" reputation.
