To assess if the screed is adequately compacted and the probable performance in use, the BRE screed tester can be used to perform 'Drop tests'.

The process of floor construction begins with a high quality substrate or slab. This is most commonly made from a single pour of concrete using a concrete transfer pump, alternatively it is poured straight from the concrete mixer. The next step of the floor construction process is laying insulation on the substrate.
