Nice venue, went here to a wedding . Very impressed with the accessibility to the main hall by what looks like quite a new modern lift. Came in handy with our pushchair.

Films and live showings of NT live almost monthly.. absolutely great opportunity.. saw nt live showing of one man 2 guvnors and fleabag live show here recently and loved it.. as a person who lives out in the sticks its nice not to have to drive a long way to reach Sheffield or Manchester for a bit of live theatre

I love the events here. Brilliant town centre location. Prices reasonable. A great venue in a historic building, cared for but not boutiqued. Relying on mainly volunteers the 'staffing' is occasionally disorganised but good humoured & helpful. It has a decent stage with kitchen & bar facilities. Keep a look out. Some surprisingly main stream entertainment appears here

Had a lovely afternoon stroll in Bakewell, it was bloomin chilly but the sun was shining. The hustle and bustle carried all the way through the town, great river views, lots of wildlife. It was beautiful. We even called in for some traditional Bakewell Tart. Worth a visit and a wonder round
