Tension stored in the body as a result of Physiological stress. This can be caused by a number of reasons; anxiety, stress, physical exertion, poor posture, loss, grieve or illness. The brain responds to stress physiologically by triggering the 'fight or flight' response. This results in muscular tension, resulting in aches and pains and restrictive muscular movement.
