Services
Neurological Physiotherapy
Specialist treatment for stroke survivors and neurological condition patients using evidence-based techniques. Our physiotherapists employ neuroplasticity principles through intensive repetition training with virtual reality technology. We combine hands-on therapy with customised exercise programmes to restore functional movement and improve daily living activities for conditions including Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis.
Litegait Therapy
Bodyweight-supported treadmill therapy enabling safe walking practice for mobility-impaired individuals. This harness system allows progressive weight-bearing exercises to rebuild confidence and improve balance. Particularly effective for spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, and post-stroke rehabilitation through controlled, repetitive movement patterns that enhance neuroplastic adaptation and functional recovery.
Accessible Gym
Fully equipped rehabilitation facility with adaptive exercise machines for all ability levels. Features include Motomed bikes for assisted cycling, upper limb virtual reality systems, and strength training equipment. Our supervised programmes combine traditional exercises with innovative technology to improve mobility, build strength, and enhance cardiovascular fitness for individuals with long-term health conditions.
FES Treatment
Advanced functional electrical stimulation therapy for foot drop and upper limb weakness caused by neurological conditions. Using wireless devices like the L300Go system, we deliver targeted muscle activation to improve gait patterns and hand function. This technology enhances mobility and independence for stroke survivors and multiple sclerosis patients through neuromuscular re-education.
Adaptive Yoga
Modified yoga practice designed for individuals with physical limitations and chronic conditions. Combining breathwork, gentle postures, and mindfulness techniques, our sessions improve flexibility, reduce pain, and enhance mental wellbeing. Specially adapted for wheelchair users and stroke survivors, using props and assisted positioning to ensure safe participation and maximum therapeutic benefit.

Jan 06, 2022 Report
The improvement in my balance after my physio sessions with Jenny was well beyond my expectations. The way she evaluated my needs and then gave me a tailored exercise programme, which she modified as my condition improved, was excellent. I couldn't speak any highly of her and the team and would recommend Sense Ability Therapy without hesitation to anyone.

Dec 23, 2021 Report
Jenny's diagnostic session and the exercise regime that she created for me went beyond anything that I have experienced from the neuro-physiotherapists that I previously consulted. I practice this regime daily and I honestly believe that Jenny has helped me to take control of my life and hold back the progression of my condition. Thank you Jenny and to all of the team at Sense Ability.
