I had a lovely meal here with my wife, where I had the Sweet and spicy chicken rice bowl. It was of a very good quality and also the rice was cooked perfectly. To me, it was like a posher and much better version of Wagamama's, which is only a compliment. The staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Thanks again, I'll visit again some time in the future.

Order from the table on your phone, pay on order completion and a great selection of Japanese favourites, what more can you ask for. Staff are super friendly and approachable. After having spent a chunk of time in Japan it's nice to have somewhere close to home that gives that home from home feeling. Really enjoy it here

Its authentic but in the wrong way. The ramen soup is inexplicably salty. Its like a bowl of very watery Tsukemen. Extra egg means hard boiled egg. You need to give a ton of personal data to their ordering platform.

Have been to Tamago a few times in the past and was always pleased by the service and food. The latest time we visited was the first time since covid reopening and it felt completely different. Staff were friendly enough but seemed clueless and inexperienced. Food was average at best. Real shame as this was originally a real hidden gem in Canterbury.

I got the ramen and taiyaki and it was pretty good. The ramen was slightly saltier than i liked but still good. I would recommend the taiyaki as it was really delicious. The lychee slush wasnt nice it tasted like water with lychee syrup. Staff were friendly but the qr code ordering took away the interaction but is convenient for people who are a bit shy.

It is not a bad restaurant, don't get me wrong. But the food was not spectacular. It was ok...it would be ok for a place to have lunch near work, but there was nothing really special to go on purpose for a dinner. Pricewise, I don't think this has the best price/quality ratio, to be honest. Really hated the qr code ordering and I hope they don't keep it when restrictions are lifted completely. That kind of ordering is completely characterless and lazy and tells a lot about the effort a restaurant puts into customer service. I personally like to have a menu on my hand and talk to the staff.
