Welcome to Coddy Shack - Seafood Restaurant & Takeaway in Looe
Established in 2010, Coddy Shack has become a beloved culinary destination in Looe, Cornwall. Our journey began in 1966 when Colin's parents opened a local chip shop, laying the foundation for our passion for seafood. Over the years, we've evolved from a modest takeaway in a former pig sty to a 60-seater restaurant and live music venue, maintaining our commitment to quality and community. Despite a devastating fire in 2023, we rebuilt with resilience, introducing state-of-the-art facilities while preserving our signature laid-back atmosphere. Today, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, offering fresh, sustainable Cornish seafood prepared with expertise honed over decades. Our team, including Colin's business partner Jason and dedicated staff Hannah and Emma, continues to train local talent, ensuring our legacy of excellence endures. With a focus on casual dining, live music nights, and a well-stocked bar, we cater to both locals and visitors seeking exceptional food and vibrant experiences. Our accolades, including a five-star rating for both cuisine and service, reflect our unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. From our rustic setting to our legendary fish and chips, every aspect of Coddy Shack embodies our love for the fryer and the community we serve.

Last Saturday I had the most amazing fish and chips takeaway. I had the haddock and large chips and could not fault it. The chips are just on point, fish is lovely and fresh too. The service was brilliant, lovely and smiley staff. I will be coming back and sitting in next time!

It's amazing. Me and parents stopped off to get some fish and chips before continuing to Looe. But the food was amazing! The fish was soft, the batter was not greasy at all. My dad went inside and he said it looks amazing. There is a restaurant inside and a bar. You can go inside and have a meal and go to the bar for drinks.

We visited here on recommendation and having read the reviews. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming to us and our dog. The menu is quite extensive which was surprising and would suit all tastes. I opted for Cod & Chips and my partner, the Mussles. Our food came out looking, and tasting, amazing and they even provided a sausage for our dog. Although the restaurant was almost empty due to being November, it had its own atmosphere however I can imagine its immensely busy in the summer months. There is a takeaway attached which was also consistently busy but not having
