Your Trusted Partner for Alternative Medicine Solutions
Established in 1979, Penn Clinic is a multidisciplinary healthcare provider offering tailored treatment plans developed by a team of highly qualified practitioners. Our approach combines evidence-based diagnosis with holistic care, addressing lifestyle factors such as exercise, nutrition, and overall wellbeing to identify and resolve root causes of health issues. Since our founding by Caroline Penn, we have maintained a commitment to treating patients beyond manual therapy, incorporating services like osteopathy, women's health, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. In 2017, leadership transitioned to Alex Bidlake-Corser, who continues to advance our mission of preventing recurring problems through comprehensive care. Our practitioners actively contribute to research and medical education, ensuring our methods remain at the forefront of scientific advancements.

We integrate Pilates and rehabilitation exercises into treatment plans, collaborating closely with instructors to enhance recovery outcomes. Our team provides specialised care for postnatal recovery, paediatric conditions, and chronic pain management, supported by outreach services for underserved communities. With over four decades of experience, we prioritise patient-centred care, combining gentle osteopathic techniques with advanced therapeutic approaches. Services
Osteopathy
Osteopathy at Penn Clinic focuses on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders through gentle, evidence-based techniques. Our practitioners use spinal manipulation, soft tissue massage, and lifestyle advice to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Patients receive tailored treatment plans addressing conditions like arthritis, sports injuries, and postural problems, with an emphasis on avoiding painful interventions.
Women's Health
Specialised women's health services include the Mummy MOT assessment for postnatal recovery and C-section scar therapy. Our practitioners evaluate pelvic floor strength, abdominal separation, and posture to create rehabilitation plans. Treatments combine manual therapy with functional exercises, addressing issues like incontinence, pelvic pain, and menopause symptoms through a holistic approach.
Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
This service offers rehabilitation programs for injuries, post-surgery recovery, and chronic conditions. Using computer-guided exercise videos and one-on-one guidance, our team designs progressive routines to restore mobility and strength. Treatments cater to all ages, from children to athletes, integrating strength training and falls prevention strategies for long-term health.
Lactation Consultations
Led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, this service addresses breastfeeding challenges like latch issues and supply problems. Consultations include feeding assessments, positional adjustments, and family-centred strategies. Practitioners also screen for infant allergies and health concerns, ensuring comprehensive support for both mother and child.
Paediatric Osteopathy
Specialised osteopathic care for infants and children uses gentle techniques to treat musculoskeletal conditions, feeding difficulties, and developmental issues. Free check-ups are available for babies under two weeks. Treatments focus on improving comfort, sleep, and feeding efficiency, with referrals to GPs when necessary for complex cases.

Great osteopath, reasonable rates. Clean, tidy and quiet. Although the clinic has their own car park it's for staff only so clients have to park in a car park next door but at least there's no charge.

I was very pleased with the sessions I had with Amit. If you have any sort of back problem, just go to The Penn Clinic to see him. I hobbled in and walked out feeling comfortable.
