Case studies
Report
We do not profess to offer miraculous cures. However, by using conventional osteopathic techniques we have successfully treated many patients. Below are a few examples of conditions that people don't often associate with osteopathic treatment and we are also seeing these conditions more regularly and the effects they have on patient's lives.
Treatments
Report
Every patient consultation and treatment session is strictly confidential and is ruled by an ethical code of conduct regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). It is recommended you wear comfy, loose clothing if possible such as jogging trousers and a t shirt to facilitate examination. Assuming your clothing is suitable, most treatments can be performed without undressing.
What Is Osteopathy
Report
It is suitable for almost anyone and can contribute to the treatment and management of a wide range of conditions. Osteopaths primarily work through the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, mostly on muscles and joints, using holistic and patient-centred approaches. A core principle behind osteopathy is the idea that the body is an integrated and indivisible whole, and contains self-healing mechanisms that can be utilised as part of the treatment.
What Osteopaths Treat
Report
We treat any area of the body including the joints and the soft tissue - i.e. the muscles, ligaments, nerve supply and tendons. The primary aim of osteopathic treatment is to reduce pain as quickly as possible to allow the patient to regain function of the injured ar. We are passionate about the patient being given the information and tools to allow them to continue their recovery at home.
