Absolutely fantastic service from Michael and Graeme. I wanted a rental car for 5 days to travel around Scotland. Because I'm under 25, every other rental company were charging extortionate fees! Not only did I get mine for really cheap, but Graeme upgraded me to a BMW 2 Series 4 absolutely free of charge! My deposit was returned to me swiftly and I'm thrilled with the whole experience. Thank you SO much for helping make our trip unforgettable. We will definitely return!

I appreciated the fact that they rent cars for young people (as I am 21), without having expensive prices like their competitors. I was also really happy to have been upgraded in the car because we had a beautiful Volkswagen that was really enjoyable to drive and that had a lot of space. So I also felt that they trusted me even if I was a young driver.
Finally, everybody in the car rental place was really nice with us, but I think that Scottish people are so nice in general haha. So I really had a very good experience with them and if I do again a road trip in Scotland I will not hesitate to

Edinburgh Car Rental accepted my payment, even though Europcar didn't have any inventory to fulfill the reservation. Subsequently I have tried reaching Edinburgh Car Rental by phone, email, and their online chat and have not gotten ahold of anyone to get my $550 back. Stay away.

They took payment and have not refunded the amount despite Enterprise not being able to fulfill the rental order. They do not answer the phone and the chat service on the website does not work. It could be a bogus company. I am waiting for a refund and have heard nothing. Avoid and book direct with a hire company.

As young drivers it was especially difficult for us to find a reasonably priced car hire company, but EdinburghCarRental did not disappoint. The booking process was fast and smooth, Michael and Norbert were very helpful and informative. We even got a car update free of charge, so we had a lovely Highlands trip. Returning the car, even outside of opening hours was not an issue and we quickly got our deposit back within a few days. We will definitely be renting from you again in the future.

The best place to rent a car as a young driver in Edinburgh! Their prices are much more reasonable compared to other places and all their cars are brand new. It was nice to get a free upgrade to a larger car making my highlands roadtrip very comfortable and smooth. Definitely recommend and will be back

Overall the experience was very good and great value for money, especially considering my friend was a young driver (24 year old). Free upgrade to a BMW X2, so that was pretty amazing! We returned the car out of hours at no extra cost and it all went very smoothly. People were all very nice and friendly, straight to the point with all car related things. Information was clear and the deposit was returned promptly. I highly recommend!!!
