Services
MOT Testing
Report
If your vehicle is 3 years or older you are required by law to have an annual safety check, a ministry of transport test, more commonly known as the MOT Test. The purpose of the test is to ensure your vehicle meets the minimum safety level required by law. It is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is examined every 12 months.
MOT & Taxi Testing
Report
We are pleased to be authorised by Woking Borough Council to carry out a vehicle inspection for Private Hire vehicles and Hackney Carriage Vehicles. In line with Woking Borough Council policy, for a vehicle to be licenced for Private Hire or Hackney Carriage it must pass a vehicle inspection. If the vehicle is greater than three years of age when first licenced or renewed it will require two vehicle inspections per year.
Servicing
Report
The modern car has been designed to only need a service once a year, however most older cars, or those that cover a high number of miles, may require a service up to every 6 months. You should refer to your manufacturer's service handbook for details of service intervals, although most modern cars will tell you when they are in need of a service.
Brakes
Report
Your brakes are among the most important parts of your car. Without them, you won't be able to stop so it only makes sense that they perform to their best There are many problems that can go wrong with this part of your vehicle and many reasons your brakes can stop working effectively. At Arthurs Bridge Garage our mechanics will explain any problem with the brakes and point out these details where possible.
Cambelts
Report
Your timing belt, also known as the cambelt, allows the engine crankshaft to turn the camshaft which controls the opening and closing of the engine's valves. The valves open and close allowing fuel to enter, ignite, and exhaust, thus the valves are a primary part of controlling the flow of fuel and exhaust gasses through the engine.
