The company started with one vehicle, a Bedford Coach, based in Alford on the East Coast of Lincolnshire. Fred started by operating a three times daily bus service to the market town of Boston. He soon built up a loyal following. With an ambition to build the business Fred Hunt continued to expand, buying out other local bus operators.

With roots firmly in Alford, Lincolnshire we celebrate our heritage by the tag line 'The Spirit of Lincolnshire' which can be seen on our fleet of vehicles. The fundamental purpose of the business is to provide high-quality transport services. Transport services offered by Hunts include private hire, group travel, education transport, coach holidays, day excursions, theatre/concert trips, public buses and tour planning.

Our vehicles are not only maintained to the recommended DVSA guidelines, they go beyond it. All vehicles are on a 28 day rotation for servicing and inspections (DVSA recommend 6 weekly), and at each inspection they are brake tested on our in house 'rolling road'. In addition to this, we work closely with industry compliance experts Lloyds Morgan Group, to help maintain high standards.
