Established in 1996, Twyfords Cafe has grown from a historic building into a beloved family-run establishment renowned for its commitment to quality and local sourcing. Our coffee is expertly roasted in-house under the Harris & James brand, ensuring every cup meets our exacting standards. The 2013 launch of our small-batch coffee roasting division laid the foundation for further innovation, including our award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate range developed after a 2015 Paris exhibition visit. Today, our passion for excellence extends to hand-crafted gelato and a growing network of Harris & James locations across East Anglia.The original Beccles cafe remains our flagship, offering a warm welcome in our Conservatory and Secret Garden spaces. Our dedication to sustainability and local produce is evident in every handmade bakery item and gelato creation. With expansion into Aldeburgh, Cromer, Holt, Sheringham, Norwich, and Southwold, we continue serving both locals and visitors with the same attention to detail that has defined us for over 25 years. Coffee Roasting
Since 2013, we've been roasting premium coffee beans in small batches under our Harris & James brand. Our expert roasting process ensures rich, complex flavours in every cup, from robust espressos to velvety cappuccinos, using beans roasted to perfection on-site.
Artisan Pastries
Indulge in our artisanal pastries baked daily to perfection. Our handmade creations range from traditional scones with jam to decadent desserts, all made using the finest ingredients. Many items can be taken home from our patisserie section.
Chocolate Production
Our award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate process began in 2015 after inspiration from a Paris exhibition. Using coffee roasting expertise, we create chocolate with less sugar and more cacao, hand-crafted by our expert team in our dedicated chocolate-making facility.

We're open Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The cafe is closed on Sundays.

This is a wonderful cake shop with a wide variety of delicious confections. The restaurant section is safely laid out and the menu offers a splendid selection of meals, breakfasts are especially good. This is the goto place in Beccles.

This cafe has great food and surroundings only I visited it today and the same waitress served me as last time I was here. She was very off and not at all friendly. So off putting. The other staff seem nice

My family and I had a breakfast here, the staff are very friendly and the setting is very nice. We sat in the garden which is very well maintained. The breakfast was brillaint my wife and kids had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup (pictured) and I had a full English both had no complaints from us. Would visit again maybe for dinner because that looked promising but I can't comment and we didn't get a chance to try before we left our holidays.

Absolutely amazing place! Would visit again in a heartbeat! The staff were very polite and very attentive to mine and my families needs. Really pleasant atmosphere in the caf area and the food was just perfect for a hot summers day.
