We under take new bespoke builds of locomotives and rolling stock, from initial idea to finished product. We use both in house machining and state of the art CNC milling, turning and cutting to produce our products to high standards.

CMD ENGINEERING has been built on a passion for miniature railways and the desire to create a range of affordable products for everyone. It was formed when the owner Chris Dixon wanted his very own locomotive. The cost was too high so he set about building his own. The plan was simple, build two locomotives, sell one and the cost of the first would be covered, and so the commercial idea was born.

The workshop - the heart of what we do. Many hours spend fettling and refining our products so we can deliver the best for our customers. Its where we like to be. We use both traditional and state of the art CNC technology to manufacture our products to consistent high standards ensuring we meet our customers needs.
