Steve brings 20+ years of hospitality experience from Qingdao and international cruise ships. He joined Rainbow 88 in 2017, contributing expertise in authentic Chinese cuisine preparation and restaurant operations.

What are Rainbow88's opening hours?
We're open Wednesday-Thursday 4:30pm-10:30pm, Friday-Saturday 4:30pm-11pm, and Sunday 3pm-10pm. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Do you offer takeout and delivery?
Yes, we provide takeout with 20% cash or 15% card discounts. Delivery available within 3-mile radius at £2, plus £1 per additional mile.
Are there special menus for events?

Take out on Nye and wanted something a bit nicer than a regular take out. when they were very busy. Long wait for food and felt that quality and taste didn't match the prices. 1 starter nice I mediocre. 1 main out of 3 was actually unpleasant

Edited to reflect the comment below. I've tried this place three times (once on my own) and twice when invited by friends when I couldn't refuse. The food is average at best, and definitely not worth the price tag. Still, the 3rd visit was acceptable so I've added an extra star. And regarding the charity comments; don't believe the comment below, it's simply a comeback to my original review that has no merit whatsoever.

Really nice staff. We had 4 different groups paying 4 different bills, and Steven sorted it out for us. The wife said her food was really nice. The only criticism I have is the price of the coke. I paid over 11, for 3 cokes. They have the bottle of coke in the fridge and just use that. I know it is where they make their money, but it nearly bankrupted me! The place is excellent, very clean and tidy. MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO MAGIC DAVE!! Absolutely brilliant with the kids. He was absolutely fantastic. Thank you Linda and your team, it was our first time and wont be our last if was fabulous. All our food was excellent Sunday buffet choices were so tasty and plenty of it.

Honestly the food from here was awful. The deep fried squid was dry and inedible. The Pad Thai was all clumped together and tasted sweet with a hint of chilli. Most of it went in the bin. Shocking for 40
