The Lambert Medical Centre is a rural 4 partner dispensing practice with a catchment radius of approximately 7 miles of Thirsk. We dispense medication to patients who live more than a mile from the nearest chemists shop.

The surgery staff consists of 9 Doctors, a Practice Manager, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Manager, 1 Nurse Practitioner/Diabetes Specialist, 3 Practice Nurses, 4 Healthcare Assistants, a Dispensary Team and a Reception/Adminsitration Team.The practice consulting rooms are located on the ground floor and there is a disabled access toilet located on the ground floor.

Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered online or by taking your repeat slip into the surgery. If you have not yet registered for online access yet please call into the surgery with some ID and the staff will issue you with your log in details. If you collect your medication from our Dispensary please remember that all repeat prescriptions take three working days from date of order being received at the surgery.

Before you book an appointment to see a doctor please consider whether an appointment with a practice nurse might be appropriate. They can help you with a wide range of medical problems. We have phone appointments to book in advance for all GP's, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Health Care Assistants. If you need an urgent appointment and there are no appointments available on that day, you will be place on the urgent list and a clinician will call you make that day.

The Doctor may be able to help over the phone, issue a prescription for collection, direct you to an appropriate service or ask you to come into surgery for a face to face appointment.

If you require support during a crisis single point of access is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week so you can get help when you need it. You can also self-refer to IAPT here who can provide talking therapies for a number of difficulties including depression, anxiety, phobias, PTSD and OCD.
