The site was acquired and built in 1925 by Henry Bell. The Bell has recently gone under extensive refurbishment throughout, whilst retaining the original open fires places to relax and unwind. The Bell provides a comfortable base for exploring the North East of England. In 30 minutes' drive you can be in the beautiful Durham dales, North Yorkshire moors and the North hills of Northumberland.
