I trained at the University College of Osteopathy (formally the British School of Osteopathy) and graduated in 1980 after a four-year full-time training. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and maintain the Osteopathic Standards of Practice. I see clients that are referred from GP's and who also self refer.
I am insured with The Institute of Osteopathy. Clients come seeking pain relief from a variety of causes from sciatica, spinal and joint issues to arthritis and headaches. Using both my knowledge of modern pain science and osteopathic principles I aim to educate, diagnose and rehabilitate clients back to a healthy and pain-free life.

About
Report
Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. Osteopathy was the first complementary healthcare to be given statutory recognition by the UK government.
Osteopathy works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments, nervous system and connective tissues functioning smoothly together; to maintain good nerve function and blood and lymphatic circulation. To an osteopath, for your body to work well, its structure must also work well.

FAQs

There is no need to be referred by your GP first; some GPs will recommend osteopathic treatment. I have good links with local GP practices and also work from Patford House Surgery in Calne. If necessary I will contact your GP (with your permission). I cannot prescribe drugs, but can give off work certificates.
