Ardington House is a Georgian masterpiece in South Oxfordshire which we invite you to make your own for the most special of occasions. Set in its own extensive gardens and parkland, the house is available to rent on an exclusive basis for weddings, corporate events, private parties, holiday hire and film location work.
I have no doubt in my mind that we'd have had nowhere near as good of an experience throughout all of this with any other venue & team. We all had the most incredible day, it literally couldn't have been any better. My only wish is that we could do it all over again! Just want to say a HUGE thank you to all of you and your staff for making our wedding celebrations the most amazing, fun and memorable few days.

Ardington House was commissioned by Edward Clarke, who wanted a house in the Baroque style with perfect symmetry and an emphasis on natural light throughout. The house was designed by the architect and mason Thomas Strong Jnr and built between 1719 and 1721.
The Strong family owned stone quarries at Taynton in Gloucestershire and became a renowned dynasty of master masons who, over successive generations, also worked with Sir Christopher Wren on St. Paul's Cathedral and Greenwich Hospital, with Sir John Vanbrugh on Blenheim Palace, and with Nicholas Hawksmoor on many of London's most famous churches.
