In Scotland all eye examinations are provided for free as they are paid by NHS Scotland. At G. Reid Opticians our highly trainers friendly Optometrists perform all the eye checks needed to ensure your eyes remain as healthy as possible, ensuring you can benefit from clear vision. We pride ourselves in providing the eyecare needed dependent on the needs of each individual patient.
Children's Eyecare

It is so important that children have good vision because they learn so much through their eyes. Children are offered a pre-school vision screening. However, this is not a thorough full eye examination checking the eye health. Some children don't realise their vision is not as clear as it could be because they have not known any different, so poor sight can often go undetected.
Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are a great option to correct your vision. Whether that be for occasional use going out for the evening, or full time wear. As we are an independent practice we can supply many types of contact lenses and are not tied to one brand. Using the latest in contact lens technology, our dedicated optometrist will take the time to discuss your options and find the right lenses for you.
