This practice was established in 1999 and has built and vast and loyal patient base seeing families throughout their generations. We feel this is due to the personal service available to all patients due to the smaller size of the practice. We believe in employing very competent Optometrists with adequate test time given to each examination dependent on the needs.

In line with Scottish NHS government funding everyone is entitled to a free eye examination at set intervals. In some instances the government also provide help with cost towards the glasses and may result in you qualifying for free spectacles too. We carry out eye examinations 6 days per week, ask in store for guidance on this and how to apply for help with costs.

We provide this service to patients requiring an alternative to glasses for sport, social and other requirements. We can fit both soft and hard lenses to cater for all types of prescriptions including astigmatism, presbyopia ie combined distance and reading and for children in some cases. It's a lot easier than you think to wear todays lenses with immediate comfort, long term wear options and much easier hygiene regimes.

There are a handful of practices in Lanarkshire who provide this service of which we are one. In the unfortunate event that you have a severe loss of vision due to some underlying pathology then we provide low vision aids to be used with spectacles.

The assessment involves a visit either in store or at home to provide a telescope or magnifier to help with day to day tasks such as watching TV, reading mail, seeing prices or just simply the tv paper.

We are excited to announce we can now provide free hearing consultations. On appointment we arrange a fully qualified audiologist to screen and assess your hearing and can then if need be suggest a suitable aid. They are a company established for over 20 yrs and their price structure is very competitive.
