Best Friends Veterinary Group was established in 1991 at the Best Friends Broadway Veterinary Hospital site in Peterborough. Since then the group has grown significantly, many of which are near to, and have close ties with Best Friend Broadway, which provides their out of hours care. The Branch has been awarded 'Hospital Status' by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and all our practices are RCVS accredited.
All our Branches share a commitment to the highest standard of care for the pets that visit us, and a friendly and helpful welcome for all our pet owners. Best Friends Group joined VetPartners, which includes some of the most trusted, and respected veterinary practices in the UK, in 2016. We have a range of Branches, from small village Vet practices with one Vet, to larger city practices with specialisms for surgery and certain species.

Here is a range of our services. Our practices include digital radiography, blood pressure, orthopedics, endoscopy, ultrasonography and K-Laser facilities. At Best Friends Veterinary Group, we know how important it is to have a dedicated, caring team who will work with our pet owners to deliver the best possible care for our patients. We are always on the lookout for the best people to join us as vets, veterinary nurses, animal carers and receptionists.

Report
Unfortunately, there are occasions when your pet might need emergency treatment. It may have been in a life-threatening accident or have developed a sudden illness, which needs urgent care. This can be very distressing but Best Friends Vet Group is there for you and your pet at these times when you need immediate advice and attention.
Surgery
Report
There are times when your pet will require surgery, from routine neutering to more complex surgeries. Best Friends Veterinary Group offers surgical facilities at most of our Branches, where your pet will be given our full attention and benefit from our high-quality veterinary care. Any surgery that is suggested for your pet will be fully explained to you by our team.
Exotic Pets
Report
Some of our practices will quite happily deal with small furries and exotic patients such as rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs, parrots and other birds, and snakes and other reptiles. It is best to call your local Best Friends Vet Branch to chat to them before taking your animal in.
They will be able to advise you about the service that they can offer, and will often refer you to another local branch where they know there is a Vet there who specialises in looking after your type of pet.We are delighted to have the Best Friends Orchid Branch in our group.
