Gorton House and Cottages self-catering accommodation is located on the outskirts of Edinburgh, giving you a perfect blend of city and countryside. It is only a 20 minute drive by car to Edinburgh city centre. We have seven self-catering holiday lets in a walled garden next to Roslin Glen (a nature reserve on the banks of the River North Esk).
The views towards the Pentland Hills are spectacular. Gorton is a place that all will enjoy, whether it be a small family holiday or a large group, there is an endless list of things to do and see nearby, or you can simply relax. We can accommodate up to a total of 33 guests.

It's the ideal mix of city and countryside, only a 20 minute drive by car to Edinburgh city centre. East, Mid, and West house can have their connecting doors opened up to provide flexible accommodation for up to 19 guests under one roof.

There are countless things to do near Gorton House and Cottages. Edinburgh's famous Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle are only 20 minutes drive away and the city provides all the attractions expected from Scotland's capital. Yet within 5 miles of the rural setting of these holiday cottages are the sporting facilities of 8 golf courses, river and loch fishing, pony trekking, a dry-ski slope, and 3 leisure centres with swimming pools.
