Services
Emergency Appointments
Report
Emergency appointments are available daily. Once they are booked for the current day, the following day does not become available to book until the morning of the following day so you may be asked to call back then if all the appointments for the current day have been booked. We are continuing to try our best to offer advice and emergency appointments where possible to anyone in genuine need, whether you have been seen here before or not.
Fillings
Report
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. During a filling procedure, the decayed tooth material is removed, the affected area is cleaned and then the filling is placed in to the cleaned out cavity. The filling is then smoothed and shaped accordingly.
Crowns
Report
Crowns are one of the methods by which teeth can be rebuilt. If you have a tooth with extensive damage or decay, and a filling would not be appropriate, your dentist may recommend a crown. The tooth is prepared and the crown then covers the damaged tooth to prevent further decay. Crowns can be metal, metal covered with porcelain, or entirely porcelain.
Bridges
Report
Your dentist may recommend a bridge if you have only a few teeth missing. It is important to replace missing teeth even if you are not concerned about your appearance because the gap allows the remaining teeth to drift out of position. This may eventually affect their function. The bridge is effectively a row of crowns connected together in one piece but made to look like individual teeth.
Root Canal Treatment
Report
When a cavity is large and extends into the inner part of the tooth containing the nerves, your dentist may recommend a root canal treatment (also referred to as endodontic treatment). If a tooth is broken or a cavity or hole becomes so large that it reaches into the root canal, then bacteria may enter and destroy the nerves.
