
Our history as a family Practice goes back to 1897 when Dr Sidney Broadbent began practising in Stoke Road. Our brand new purpose built Health Centre is now well equipped to provide the best in up-to-date medical care. We aim to provide a high standard of care for all of our Patients, balancing traditional skills with modern techniques.
The three Partners, Salaried GP and Registrar's work closely with each other and with the Healthcare Team to provide a comprehensive medical service for all of our Patients. The Practice now offers a Vasectomy Service to our patients and patients from local GP Surgeries via a referral from your GP. Dr R John provides the service alongside a member of the Nursing Team. This service is provided to pregnant ladies considered at risk of developing gestational diabetes. The Practice is one of five providers of this service across the city, and welcomes Patients from all Practices.

GP online services allow you to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. You can still contact the practice by phone or in person, this is just another option, which other patients have found is more convenient and saves them time.

New Patients

New Patients are asked to bring their medical card with them at the time of registration. An appointment will be made for you to see a Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant so that we can get to know your medical history and give you a brief health check, e.g. If you live within our practice area you are welcome to register with us and our reception staff will be happy to guide you through the procedure.
Appointments

Patients are seen by appointment and the Receptionist will be pleased to help you with this. Appointments are available all day Monday to Friday. Please give as much notice for routine and non-urgent appointments as possible. Appointments are often booked in advance and if you leave it until the last minute, an appointment may not be available on the day you want it.
Prescriptions
Report
We now have the Electronic Prescription Service at the Practice. Once you order your repeat prescription, and it is authorised by the GP, your prescription can then be sent electronically to your chosen Pharmacy. This service will take the hassle out of ordering and collecting prescriptions from the Surgery.
