Adams + Russell was founded in 1978 on a small industrial estate in Birkenhead where you can still find us now. At roughly the same time our neighbours Cammell Laird became nationalised as British Shipbuilders. The shipping industry is an important relic of Birkenhead's past and dates back almost 200 years.
All Coffee

Adams + Russell's artisan approach to coffee allows for a bespoke roasting process, making adjustments where necessary to maximise flavour, aroma and satisfaction. As speciality roasters, we source high grade, traceable green beans from almost every country where arabica is cultivated. All our coffee is hand roasted in small batches to ensure an even roast and to maintain freshness.
Single Origin

Single origin coffee beans are grown in one country, within a specific growing region. The taste profile of single origin coffee represent the typical flavours and characteristics of the country it is grown in. This is similar to the coffee you would expect to find in a supermarket, but much fresher.
Single Plantation

Our single plantation range offers fully traceable, micro lot arabicas that are grown seasonally on individual farms. This narrows the taste profile down to a very small region, allowing nature to take over and produce some unique, exclusive flavours. These coffees excel their quality at lighter roast profiles, where the more nuanced flavours come through.
