Sasso Restaurant is owned and run by Stefano Lancellotti, who is also the Head Chef, and his wife Sara. Opened in 1998, we named the Restaurant after Stefano's the home town. Sasso Marconi is a small town just outside Bologna in the Emilia Romagna Region of Italy.

Emilia Romagna has a rich culinary tradition and is considered by many Italians to be the heart of Italian cooking; Bologna is famous for its fresh egg pasta, Tortellini and tagliatelle being just a couple of their key pasta dishes.Stefano uses specially imported Italian eggs in his fresh pasta giving it great colour and extra flavour.

At Sasso, all of our dishes are cooked to order and, due to the care taken over the preparation and presentation of our food, there can be a waiting time of approximately 20-25 minutes. We are delighted to be able to cater for special dietary requirements, including gluten and dairy free and other allergens.

Sasso boasts two private dining rooms that are ideal for special celebrations and corporate events. From birthdays and weddings to business networking, presentations and meetings; we can provide a room that is both functional and stylish. We combine this with outstanding service, exquisite menus and a dedicated events manager to ensure you cannot fail to impress your guests.

Sasso is a family run Italian business with a multicultural team who are passionate about making and serving excellent food. We are all very proud of what we do. We are currently looking for a kitchen porter, who is so much more than that title! We would love someone to join our team who can do kitchen portering, but who is also looking to learn new skills, initially in our dessert section.

At Sasso we consider ourselves very fortunate to enjoy the works of the talented artist Tony Brummell-Smith on our walls. Born in Berkshire in 1949, Tony now lives and works from his studio and home in Harrogate. His ability to capture the particular sense of place and mood of widely contrasting locations has been reflected in consistently successful exhibitions throughout the UK, Germany, Japan, and the USA.
