
Firstly, thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to read up on what we are all about here at Halesowen Martial Arts Centre. I have always been involved in boxing, kickboxing and martial arts my whole life. I had ran schools part time whilst working full time, due to my love and passion in training people, just like you, to be the best they can be.
In the early 90's, I had a personal tragedy and decided life was too short to just do the 'day job'. With the support of my wife, Julie and the kids, we made the centre a reality. Our goal here is all about striving to be better. Family is an important part of the centre. Julie, my wife works here, Kiyra, my daughter trains here and Reuben, my son, works and trains here.

Strong is the new skinny. This Girl Can. Girl Power. They all sound great don't they but it feels very different to walking into a gym by yourself to get fit doesn't it. We've all been there. Normal gyms terrify you, you've probably spent money on annual memberships only to go twice as it just felt too hard to walk into a class and start all over.
Low Kick

Our low kick is not a typical Muay Thai style of low kick. Its newly added style of fighting within kickboxing where the leg kicks are more controlled as well as trying to throw the leg kicks with a lot more speed. Its not about brute power and strength but more about being smarter with picking your shots as well as being able to counter.
Adult Kickboxing

The adult kickboxing classes are made up of 6 classes in total, Mondays and Wednesdays classes are basics, pad work as well as bag work also. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays classes are sparring sessions so if you have experience in the world of kickboxing and want to do more than just punch bags and kick pads and want that physical side of kickboxing this 3 classes are available for you as well.
Junior Kickboxing

Our Junior Kickboxing sessions are about having an enjoyable session as well as feeling welcome if it's the kids on the mats are the parents/guardians off the mats.
Lots of normal exercises are done as part of the warm up but we especially do a lot of team exercises and drills so the class is very well rounded, we try to bring out more confidence in everyone in the session and encourage the juniors to work with new people as uncomfortable as it may feel it is a brilliant way to make everyone feel more comfortable.

Fitness Blast

Our Fitness Blast session takes place once a week every Saturday morning at 8 o'clock, the entire session is pure fitness, strength and conditioning, cardiovascular workouts, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and even standard circuit training.
The session is an hour long and you will be pushed to or past your limits, for those trying to push it that little extra mile or those already in training we have an open mat session straight after so you can do bags and pads, some weight work, more cardio anything to benefit yourself further.
