Our purpose build kennels are all extra large and comprise of an indoor heated area with attached covered outside area (ensuring your dog remains dry throughout the day) - 16ft x 8ft in total. All kennels have individual heat lamp and central heating. We have highly experienced staff offering a complete range of grooming services for all breeds of dog.
Open to boarders and non boarders. The grooming parlour has many of its own customers who are not boarding and pet welfare is our priority. At Birdston Kennels we offer a large range of activities within our grounds to keep our dogs stimulated, healthy and happy. Lead walking and free running in our large grass paddock or playtime with in one of our designated outdoor play areas.

The grooming is performed by highly trained and experienced stylists with over 20 years grooming experience between us. We can groom to breed standard or in a modified trim to suit your dog and your lifestyle.

Each dog will be fed at the same regular intervals as they are fed at home. We stock a huge selection of premium brand dry, wet and pouched dog foods, to include senior, puppy, sensitive, wheat and grain free options. There is also the availability of home cooked pasta, rice, chicken and mince as required at no extra charge.

Baths can be scary for dogs but with knowledge and preparation we can make washing your dog a good experience. How often your dog is groomed depends on their breed, hair type and activity level. You should brush your dog completely yourself completely every 2nd - 3rd day to prevent matts, and professional haircut every 8 -12 weeks. If your dog has a high maintenance coat you can bring him in for a bath /brush and face and feet tidy inbetween grooms, this is cheeper than a full groom.
