We are a family owned residential care home which caters for the needs of 18 elderly residents who have residential or dementia care needs. With just 18 residents, it allows us to give a much more personal service. And it allows them to feel part of the 'family' at Elmfield. We have been caring and looking after residents for 25 years.
During which time we have seen many changes in both the caring system and Elmfield House itself. However, one thing will never change, our ethos to create a 'home from home' environment, where residents feel safe, secure and valued, just as they would in their own home. Independence is promoted and encouraged.

At Elmfield House we pride ourselves on our 'home from home' culture providing excellent quality of care in a person- centered way whilst promoting dignity, respect and independence. We ensure that all of our staff know the individual needs, preferences and wishes of each resident and build honest and trusting relationships with our residents and their family and friends.

Elmfield House has core values which all staff are expected to demonstrate at all times and are integral to fulfilling our mission statement. We acknowledge that Elmfield House is the resident's home, therefore staff maintain a professional attitude at all times. We offer refreshments to visitors and have an open- door policy regarding visiting hours.

In recent years our residential and dementia care home has undergone significant renovations to improve the interior and physical appearance of the home. We have included a ground floor shower room, a new bathroom with a walk in bath, extended the kitchen and improved the laundry room. We then went on to add an additional 3 en-suite bedrooms, a larger lounge area, improved dining room, and new laminate flooring throughout the ground floor.

Our cook Dawn has been at Elmfield for 4 years, she is very experienced and highly qualified. On a daily basis she prepares and helps serve nutritious home cooked meals. We offer a varied and balanced menu to ensure our residents have a range of meals and snacks to ensure a healthy intake of nutriants.

The senior care manager of Elmfield Residential Home Ltd is Miss Niccii Gillett who has worked within the health and social care setting for over 17 years and has been at Elmfield House for 7 years. Niccii is registered as a manager with the CQC and has a level 5 QCF in health and social care. There is a team of senior carers who are all trained to level 3 QCF/ NVQ in health and social care.
