A lovely 2 night stay here. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming and hospitable. Breakfast was excellent and served in the most amazing dining room. An interesting Broch to look at in the grounds and an amazing archaeological dig just up the road were an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again

House and Katherine and her mum, top marks. Secluded wooded area where the house stands which in itself is very interesting. Good breakfast. The room we stayed in was overdue a much needed update to say the least.

It has been almost 5 years this July (2016) that my husband and I, on our first overseas/family history trip, happened upon Thrumster House and we still talk and share with others, our wonderful memories of our stay in this magical place - so much history, welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Islay and her daughter Catherine made us feel like family. We stayed in the garden apartment and it was lovely and cosy. It was more than warm enough without the log fire but we put it on for effect and it was lovely. Great WiFi signal and kitchen has everything you need. Really handy having washing machine as well. Owners very helpful and friendly. Gorgeous walks in grounds as well. Definitely recommend.
