Our 140 contemporary en-suite rooms provide comfortable stays with free parking and high-speed internet. Guests enjoy complimentary access to the Escape Zone leisure facilities including gym and pool. Rooms cater for singles, couples, families and contractors with flexible booking options available.
Escape Zone leisure
The Escape Zone features a 25m swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym, sauna and steam room. Open daily with extended hours during weekdays, it offers aqua aerobics classes and family swimming areas. Hotel guests receive free access to all facilities during their stay.
Wedding events
We host weddings from intimate ceremonies to large receptions for 200 guests. Packages include use of our White Starlit dance floor, complimentary bridal suite, and discounted room rates for guests. Our experienced team coordinates everything from venue styling to catering options.
The Old Poste House
This contemporary restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with a menu featuring locally-sourced ingredients. Specialities include Teesside Parmo dishes and Sunday carvery. The bar offers a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits alongside sports screenings.
Conference facilities
Three versatile event spaces accommodate meetings, conferences and exhibitions. The largest suite hosts 200 delegates with projector facilities and private patio access. Packages include bespoke catering, AV equipment and discounted accommodation for attendees.

Check-in is from 3pm with check-out by 11am. Late check-out may be available upon request.

the staff here are so warm and friendly. We did 10 nights here in December with the Gremlins. We had B.B.D . No complaints at all the swimming pool was nice and warm 2 lifeguards work at all times. The sauna and steam room was worth everything. There's also a hot tub . I used once. I feel a bit sorry for the cleaners they were sweeping water nonstop because the showers and pool water.. All in all we're looking forward to trying here in the summer.

Didn't stay had Xmas dinner at the old post house, it was amazing! Service was brilliant and food was gorgeous, stuffed! First time eating out for Xmas dinner and l am going to book again for next year!

Very helpful staff, room spotlessly clean and it really doesnt matter if it is a bit dated. We have paid much more for worse service. My husband is disabled and everyone went out of their way to assist us. We also had a lovely view over the garden from our ground floor room.

It was shocking, staff rude to say the least obviously have no idea about the basic job of bar service. Do you have irish whisky no but we have sexton obviously irish and served in a cognac glass. Large gin and tonic in a wine glass , above all hotel residents area and you don't serve coffee after 8 30 as machine has been cleaned. You should be about customers especially when they are residents. Can you please explain this disgraceful behaviour as I am in the same business and would never tolerate this negligence of customer service

I've been for Sunday lunch and it's really good especially for the price. I also booked for the Halloween party for my daughter it was great value for money and she enjoyed every minute of it. Il be looking out for future parties as I hear they do Christmas ones and others throughout the year.

Can't fault the place for what we paid. Stayed a week, happy to come back again. Yes the room furniture was a bit tired, but everything worked, was clean, bed was comfy, breakfast arrangements worked well and all staff were great. Free use of the leisure facilities was a great touch. The food and drink in the restaurant/bar were fine and well priced.

Room is dated but it was very clean and spacious. We had a great sleep. Very happy with room. We ate at the restaurant and had a few drinks too. Staff are wonderful. Friendly and cheerful. Food was great.
Sam stood out most ... She was very friendly and clearly a hard worker. Breakfast was great. All round very friendly staff and would stay here again if in the area. Super dog friendly.
