Our traditional afternoon tea features a three-tier stand with finger sandwiches, homemade scones with jam and cream, and delicate pastries. Served with premium loose-leaf teas or speciality coffees in our relaxed lounge environment. Available for pre-booked parties with a non-refundable deposit, we also offer takeaway options for enjoying at your preferred location.
Gin Lounge
Discover over 50 Scottish gins in our dedicated lounge space with expertly matched tonics and botanicals. Offering tasting sessions by reservation, our collection features traditional, contemporary, and seasonal varieties. The lounge maintains a rotating selection showcasing local producers and exclusive limited editions in a comfortable, fire-side setting.

Experience seasonal tasting menus and la carte options featuring locally sourced ingredients with AA Rosette recognition. Our evening restaurant serves three-course meals by candlelight with wine pairings from our curated list. Questions
How do I book an afternoon tea experience?
Contact us via phone or email at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your afternoon tea. A £5 per person non-refundable deposit is required at booking.
What is your deposit policy for dinner bookings?
We require deposits for all dinner reservations and large parties due to previous no-show issues. Deposits are non-refundable after 10:30am on the day of booking.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes, we offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please inform us of any dietary needs when booking to ensure proper preparation.
What awards have you received?
We hold an AA Rosette for culinary excellence and Two Michelin Knives & Forks for outstanding restaurant service since opening in 2011.

We've been twice in the last couple of weeks for evening meals (and gin!!). The food was delicious, the staff super friendly and the ambience was lovely. A really special place. We'll definitely return.

Amazing place. Like sitting in your grans house. Afternoon tea was beautiful. Staff were lovely.would definitely recommend this place.We hired out an area for my daughters 40th and it was very private.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here today (Thursday). I had the Hot salmon with cheese and chives sandwich, which I definitely recommend. I'll be taking my mother soon. I had a lovely English tea served in a dainty tea cup and saucer followed by a slice of jaffa cake. When leaving I spotted a couple having an afternoon tea - that's for another visit.... The atmosphere, today (weekday) was very peaceful. Perfect. Thank you to everyone at Brodies!

Had afternoon tea here today. There were eight of us and everyone loved it. Fantastic food , lovely bread in the sandwiches , fresh fluffy scones , delicious cakes. Lovely place to sit good atmosphere. Friendly staff.

A fantastic place to eat and relax in Moffat. Stopped in Moffat for a night and found Brodies for an evening meal. We hadnt booked (Sep21) but the staff were very accommodating and after taking a seat in the bar area we had a superb meal in the main dining area. The food was excellent and well priced and the staff very attentive and polite. A great place to eat if you are staying in or around Moffat.

What a gem! While spending some days off in the area, we found this place. Amazing atmosphere, outstanding service and excellent food. I would recommend anyone to visit the place.

Popped in for lunch a little bit too late but the kitchen was kept open which was greatly appreciated. We had toasties and fish cakes which were absolutely lovely and a bottle of prosecco. Everything inside from the decor to the tiny plates the crisps are served in was magical. It is evident that a lot of time, effort and thought has gone into the place. It is hard to find somewhere nice to eat and drink in Moffat and Brodies just hits the nail on the head. All of the staff were lovely and we will be back very soon for the evening menu!
