Biomass
Report
Biomass is a renewable energy, which is easily collected. It creates far less harmful gasses, such as methane and carbon dioxide, than fossil fuels. It is clearly a fuel for the future. The most obvious source of biomass is trees. Wood fuel can be derived from conventional forestry practice or from tree surgery operations, such as the management of parks, commercial areas and private gardens.
Tree Surgery Services
Report
Usually carried out to prevent the tree limbs from growing too large (which can result in them breaking off) or if the customer simply decides that the tree is too big or too close to a building. The whole crown of the tree will be worked on. Simply when there is no other option but to completely remove the tree, due to size, positioning or disease.
Crown Reduction
Report
Usually carried out to prevent the tree limbs from growing too large (which can result in them breaking off) or if the customer simply decides that the tree is too big or too close to a building. The whole crown of the tree will be worked on. Crown reduction is the reduction in height and/or spread of the crown (the foliage bearing portions of a tree) and can be carried out on all varieties of tree.
Dead wood removal
Report
Dead wood removal is a process where any non-living branches or stems, due to natural ageing or external influences, are removed. Deadwood provides essential habitats and its management should aim to leave as much as possible.

If a tree has extensive dieback in the upper crown, then removal of this dead wood back to the appropriate live foliage can prolong the life of a tree but unfortunately where such dieback is present the tree will usually be coming to the end of its life.
