We stayed here a couple of weeks ago, booking a Superior Room at short notice for a 'treat' on the way to see family. From the first time we walked in to when we left all the staff were very warm, friendly and helpful and made us feel very special. Thank you so much, especially the ladies on reception. The room was excellent. Spacious, warm, quiet, very clean, well equipped. Having ordered champagne we were met with this along with towel swans and rose petals on the bed - unexpected, lovely and greatly appreciated. I had a great night's sleep - not always the case when staying away elsewhere

Went to a charity gala that was arranged last minute at the hotel due to another venue letting the event down last minute, Stifford were absolutely fantastic, staff were brilliant, food was lovely and they made everything perfect last minute. Thank you to all who made that event perfect.

Excellent location, just of the A13, which I found perfect for my purposes. The main hotel itself is a well maintained and imposing period property, whereas the rooms are set behind the main house in modern blocks. The rooms were clean, well maintained and functional, and the reception kindly popped the invoice under the door before I left in the morning, making checkout hassle-free. In summary, perfect for business!
