You'll find us refreshing. It's always better to get great service from a stable team that really know what they are talking about and are quite genuinely trying to help you. Perhaps it's because we're independent. We don't know, but we believe if we are to continue to thrive, a key ingredient is our knowledge and integrity so we're plain talking, informative and naturally communicative.

We are known for both our investment in the latest equipment and for the thoroughness of our eye examination. This is partly because every eye examination takes a minimum of 30 minutes and all tests are carried out by a qualified ophthalmic optician. We don't think anyone benefits from moving from one person to another for different tests.
The iSpy Eye Test

We approach eye examinations a little differently to the norm. For a start, your entire test is carried out by a qualified ophthalmic optician who puts you and your needs at the centre. Each test has an allocated 30 minutes and we adapt what is tested around what you tell us and what we see. This bespoke personalised approach has no hidden extras, no bolt on tests and no need to wonder - everything is explained thoroughly.

Children are expensive, we all know that. Luckily, not everything has to dent your budget because eye examinations and children's glasses are actually free (and paid for by the NHS). National Guidelines recommend testing under 16s every year and we think it's important your kids get tested (even pre-school!).
