We specialise in sustainable accommodation through our transformed WW1 barracks-turned-chalet, now featuring the self-contained Cabin and cosy Nest. Our 8-acre Site of Special Scientific Interest showcases ancient oak woodland with rare flora and fauna, including horseshoe bats and hazel dormice. We maintain a low-impact lifestyle using eco-friendly products, washable materials, and green electricity from Ecotricity. With a heritage dating to the 1930s as a Youth Hostels Association property, we continue promoting countryside appreciation while offering modern comforts like ensuite facilities and kitchenettes.Our 2015-established business combines historical preservation with contemporary eco-tourism, providing guests with immersive nature experiences through stargazing, river dipping, and wildlife observation. We maintain strict sustainability practices including waste reduction, equipment reuse, and local partnerships like Zero Waste in Moretonhampstead.
