
The village pub, the whitewashed Sun Inn, dates from 1711. The Sun is a traditional Lakeland inn with stone floors and roaring fires in the winter, it began life as a row of cottages, the occupants of one of them served beer to travellers from a front room.
Our Head Chef Ryan runs our kitchen and produces our seasonal menu sourcing local produce to give you the best in pub classic dishes without any twists just how it is simple and classics - home cooked traditional dishes.We also have a weekly specials board again using local seasonal produce, this is where there may be a twist or two, we use local game from Cartmel valley & our meat is sourced from the Cumbrian fells.
