Making the Most of Your Appointment
Report
Do not try to add another person in on your consultation. Let reception know you need another appointment for this individual or prioritise who needs the appointment more. Be honest with the doctor. It is important to tell the doctor the main reason you are there at the start of the consultation. If you are embarrassed, don't be, the doctor is there to help and won't be shocked.
Ealing GP Access Centres
Report
Patients who are registered at the Cloister Road Surgery can now access a limited number of appointments to see a GP or nurse at our sister clinic, the Florence Road Surgery in Ealing. There is also a limited service on bank holidays. The appointment will be a one off 10 minute consultation which may result in advice and / or treatment.
Cancelling Your Appointment
Report
We do understand that sometimes you may forget your appointment, or that other important life incidents happen and that you sometimes no longer need the appointment. We do ask that if you cannot attend your appointment, please cancel it or notify the practice why you did not attend at your earliest convenience.
Emergency Prescription Requests
Report
Emergency prescription requests are requests for medication which you have run out of and need to prevent you becoming severely unwell. Emergency medications include; antiepileptic medication, insulin, inhalers and adrenaline pens for anaphylaxis.
If you require an emergency supply of your medication, you should first ask your pharmacist as they should be able to provide you a 3 day supply of your urgent medication without requiring a prescription. This should also give you enough time to receive a prescription from us. Emergency prescription requests cannot be used for medication which has been ordered late.

New Patient Prescriptions
Report
Give us a copy of your medication label on your medication box or bottle which has your name, medication dosage and date. The prescribing pharmacist will check your medication list and put them on the repeats list but we recommend you make an appointment with the Doctor or Pharmacist to have a medication review within the first month of registering with the surgery.
