Kanwar was one of the most professional and patient taxi drivers I've ever encountered. My trip booked on the phone was a return trip where I would be collecting personal items from the first destination house. My "friends house" had my laptop and my buddies girlfriend was leaving work to come unlock so I can grab it quick. After the 4th or 5th "5 mins away!" I went and explained to him and go my coat out the park. The "5 mins away" went to "round the corner" soxi politely told Kanwar they're very close and I'll pay extra for the wait which he agreed no problem. What should have taken 5 minutes

Booked the day before for a taxi home from a wedding. 5 mins after the taxi was due they called me asking when I wanted the taxi to arrive - I suggested 5 minutes ago when I booked it for! They said it would be 10 mins. 20 minutes later we called to check if they were still coming, they said yes 5 more minutes. So they finally arrived 30 minutes late, with absolutely no apology. On arrival, the driver tried to charge 17.60 for a 10 minute journey, rather than the 12.80 suggested at booking. When I questioned the extra charge, the driver disputed a booking had been made at all. Extremely disappointing

Driver (Anwar) was on time, polite, friendly and drove safely at a relaxing pace. Unlike other taxi drivers he did not drive most of the way in the outside lane as if in a race, leaving passengers stressed by the time they arrive. The car was clean and very comfortable. I will definitely use Newtax again and recommend to friends.

I will leave a review based on one of your drivers. Shamim was my driver. Firstly not a lot of drivers will say hello or even ask how your day has been let alone talk to you, even if it is a short journey. I know a lot of people dont want to talk but I actually like it its better than sitting in silence. From start to finish i was made to feel welcome hes just so kind and polite it makes a difference to all the other drivers and his car smells nice to.
