SR dental care is located in the town centre of Dalkeith providing NHS and private dental treatments in a friendly and professional manner. We are a long established dental practice providing our dental services for more than 35 years. We are proud to say that we are serving patients of 3-4 generations of people in the same family getting dental care.

We are commited to provide high quality NHS family dental care and private cosmetic dentistry (treatments like Teeth whitening, Tooth coloured fillings, ceramic crowns and veneers) if desired. We strongly believe in the saying " prevention is better than cure " and follow a preventive approach to dental care of our patients.

We provide a full range of NHS and private treatments in our practice with a FREE dental examination for everyone. Following a dental examination, your dentist will advise you of the treatment you require and the likely cost. We will also provide an itemised account, if requested. The charges for NHS treatments are set by Practitioner Services and are same for every NHS dentist in Scotland.

Direct Access Hygienist

Dental Hygienists and Therapists provide scale and polish treatments to ensure your teeth are thoroughly clean. If appropriate they can apply preventative treatments to help keep your teeth strong. Our Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists are permitted to treat patients without a prior examination by a dentist.

Please note that NHS fee structure is complex and varies considerably from patient to patient depending of the treatment required. Please see NHS Fees for the standard list. Unless you are in one of the groups entitled to free NHS dental treatment or help with the cost you will require to pay 80% of the cost of your NHS dental treatment up to a maximum of 384 per course of treatment.
