Services
Physiotherapy Treatments
Our physiotherapy services combine hands-on techniques with electrotherapy and tailored exercise programs. We treat musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Our approach focuses on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and preventing future injuries through comprehensive assessments and personalised treatment plans.
Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy treats chronic tendon injuries and soft tissue pain using non-invasive sound waves. This evidence-based treatment stimulates healing for conditions like plantar fasciitis and tennis elbow. Typically requiring six sessions, it offers medication-free pain relief and improved mobility for persistent musculoskeletal issues.
Women's Health Physiotherapy
Specialised physiotherapy addressing pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal/postnatal care, and menopausal symptoms. Our private consultations provide individualised treatment for conditions like urinary incontinence and pelvic pain. We offer postpartum assessments and menopause-specific rehabilitation programs in a confidential, supportive environment.
Diagnostic Ultrasound
We provide musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging for accurate diagnosis of soft tissue injuries. This dynamic imaging technique assesses muscles, tendons, and joints in real-time. It guides treatment decisions and monitors healing progress for conditions affecting shoulders, knees, elbows, and ankles without radiation exposure.
First Contact Physiotherapy
Our First Contact Practitioners assess and manage musculoskeletal conditions directly, without GP referral. We provide rapid diagnosis, treatment, and specialist referrals when needed. This service reduces waiting times for MSK care while maintaining collaboration with primary care providers for comprehensive patient management.
Questions
Do I need a GP referral for physiotherapy treatment?
No referral is needed unless required by your medical insurance. We accept self-referrals and work directly with patients to arrange appointments.
Which insurance providers do you work with?
We are recognised by major insurers including BUPA, WPA, AXA, Aviva, and The Exeter. Patients should confirm coverage with their provider before treatment.
What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the affected area. Bring sports shoes if relevant, and be prepared to undress appropriately for assessment.
What are your cancellation policies?
We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Failure to provide this will result in a full charge for the session to cover reserved treatment time.
Do you offer home visit physiotherapy services?
While we primarily operate from our clinic locations, our affiliated Crystal Care service provides domiciliary care for patients requiring home-based support and rehabilitation.
Can I pay for physiotherapy online?
Yes, we offer online payment options for convenience. Payment can also be made by card or cash at the clinic on the day of treatment.

Excellent knowledge and understanding of clients needs. I was paired with a pt who knew what training to suit me and my needs. The yoga teacher was excellent with vast knowledge. Adapted the classes to suit the needs of all my family. Definitely recommend

Best physio around. Trust them 100% wouldn't ever go anywhere else. I travel around an hour to get to my appointment from Staffordshire. Highly recommended.

When attending an appointment at Willaston Physio, I found the venue was conveniently located off the A41, with parking spaces immediately outside the building. Once inside, the Reception Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. As I had arrived early, I sat for a few minutes in a comfortable waiting area and was offered a filter coffee - which was very welcome! The treatment I received from the Physiotherapist was excellent and I left with a selection of exercises for me to continue with at home. The whole experience was pleasant, easy and reassuring. I would recommend this Physiotherapist

I recommend the Gait Analysis assessment. I have struggled for years with pain and swelling in my knees due to a history of sporting injuries and surgery. One session on the Foot scanner showed the issues and potential issues and stress on other parts of my body. The readings showed what custom insoles were needed to correct my posture. Looking forward to receiving the insoles and to the journey back to fitness. Nobody else pointed out what the real issue was AND the other problems as a result of the main problem. Thank you..you have given me the positive news I needed.
