Peacock Stevens were appointed to act as party wall surveyor in a house renovation I was completing. Peter Gadbury (London office) was slow and pedantic causing delays to the project. He questioned numerous elements that fell out with his expertise and the Party Wall legislation. His bill was excessively large - charged at double the time and hourly rate to his counterpart Party Wall Surveyor. When queried he was reluctant to release his timesheets and one can see why. He billed: 3.4hrs at 160p/hr for "Transfer of photos to CD", 1hr at 160p/hr for 3 short emails to me, and 5hrs at 160p/hr
