I really want to rate this place 5 star. We turned up, sat at the bar. Ordered expresso martinis and they fitted us in for dinner. In this area it can be difficult to find somewhere really classy, but chilled to drink and eat. I loved it. Thank you for doing cocktails

Had a Fillet Steak done medium, it was AWFUL ! Toughest Fillet I've ever had & no taste to it. Was gutted as Wife is away & hadn't had anything to eat all day. They did knock the Steak off the bill. Don't normally complain but most of the food was still on the plate so wasn't happy paying a 30 odd bill for something I never ate. Shame really Pub looked nice & recently moved into the area but that place won't be where I'll dine in future for sure. Stick with the Riverside Ameystry or the Corners Kingsland.

Exceptional. Having been to a couple of restaurants coming out of the pandemic where the food and service have been really poor The Lion was a breath of fresh air. Warm, friendly atmosphere. Staff were polite and helpful, the food was amazing. My faith is restored and we will be back very soon.

This is the best pub hotel we have stayed. Some of, if not the best, food we have ever had, ever. Service was outstanding also. Super cosy place. Rooms are also very comfortable. Could not recommend more.

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. The food was prepared from fresh farm produce and cooked to perfection with no grease in sight. If your in the area l highly recommend calling in has you won't be disappointed.
